Ashley Venzke "Kasey Parker"

Ashley M. Venzke “Kasey Parker,” age 28, of Hermitage, Tennessee, formerly of Parkers Prairie, died Monday, May 16, 2016, at her home.

Funeral services are 11 a.m., Thursday, May 26, 2016, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Parkers Prairie with Rev. Kirk Lee officiating. Music is provided by Gloria Hollatz. Burial is at the Parkers Prairie Cemetery.

Visitation is 5-8 p.m., Wednesday at the Lind Family Funeral Home in Parkers Prairie and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church.

Ashley Marie Venzke was born on March 10, 1988, to Kenneth Venzke and Melissa “Missy” Sheiding in Alexandria. She was baptized at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Almora and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Parkers Prairie. Ashely attended Parkers Prairie Public Schools and was active in softball, cheerleading, and FFA. Following her education she lived in Minneapolis and California. Ashley then moved to Chicago where she attended mechanic school. Following her time in Chicago, she moved to Nashville where she became a Deputy Sheriff and worked as a Correctional Officer in Davidson County. Ashley loved her dogs, Junior and Luke. While growing up, Ashley enjoyed attending Lutheran Island Camp and Horse Camp. She also loved fishing with her Grandpa Dale and Grandma Paulette, hunting, hiking, and traveling.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Joshua Mortenson.

Ashley is survived by her mother, Missy Senior of Humboldt, Tennessee; father, Kenneth and Rosanna Venzke of Chillicothe, Ohio; maternal grandparents, Duane and Jackie Klimek of Evansville and Lloyd Scheiding of Humboldt, Tennessee; paternal grandparents, Dale and Paulette Venzke of Henning; two brothers, Cody Jaeger of Anoka and Brandon Jaeger of Fergus Falls; sister, Emily Aasen of Minneapolis; godparents, Cindy Olson, Kirk Venzke, Joy Donken, and Denise Pederson; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Pallbearers are Jacob Olson, Jaden Olson, Kirk Venzke, Brandon Jaeger, Rusty Shields, Amanda Starr, and Jackie Tilseth. Honorary pallbearers are Clayton Oler, Peter Checchi, Sam Passero, and all of her friends.
