Arlyne Eldora was born on December 21, 1933, to Henry and Julia (Dahl) Bolstad in Alexandria. She was baptized and confirmed at East Moe Lutheran Church, and she grew up on the family farm near Garfield. Arlyne attended school in Alexandria, graduating from Central High School. When Arlyne was 17, she was united in marriage to Murald Zarbok on October 26, 1951, at East Moe Lutheran Church. Shortly after, Murald enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps, and the newlyweds were stationed in California. Following Murald’s honorable discharge in 1953, they returned to Minnesota, settling in Maplewood to start their family. The family moved to a farm near Garfield in 1973. Arlyne was a devoted stay-at-home mother, while also working retail at Pamida in Alexandria. After selling the farm in the early 1980s, Arlyne and Murald relocated to Carlos and spent their winters in Yuma, Arizona, for 25 years. In 2015, they moved to Alexandria, where Arlyne spent her final years at Grand Arbor. She was a lifelong member of East Moe Lutheran Church. Arlyne loved bowling, crafting, painting, working on puzzles, playing cards, and polka dancing. Overall, she loved time spent with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Julia; and husband, Murald in 2019.

Arlyne is survived by her two sons, Randy (Debbie) Zarbok of Garfield and Todd (Jan) Zarbok of Alexandria; daughter, Penny (Chris) Kauffman of Hanover; brother, Daniel Bolstad of Alexandria; sister, Esther Pooler of Parkers Prairie; nine grandchildren, Andy (Gina) Zarbok, Nathan (Britta) Zarbok, Brent Zarbok, Jamie Sieve, Allen Zarbok, Tyler (Cassie) Zarbok, Lindsey (Ben) Neubert, Carly Kauffman, and Kyle Kauffman; 15 great-grandchildren; along with many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
