Annette Lucille Revering

Annette L. Revering, age 52, of Alexandria left this earth on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at Knute Nelson under the care of hospice, and ran into the arms of Jesus.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 12, 2022, at Church of St. Mary in Alexandria with Fr. Matthew Kuhn officiating. Music will be provided by Luke VanOverbeke and Erin Takle. Annette's funeral will be livestreamed on her obituary page on the funeral website or by clicking HERE. Entombment will take place at St. Mary’s Mausoleum.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m., Friday at Lind Family Funeral Home in Alexandria. The visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church.

Annette Lucille, a feisty baby girl was born to Lawrence and Theresa (Winter) Revering on August 6, 1969, in Alexandria. She was baptized at Church of St. Mary where she was a life-long member. Annette attended Alexandria Public Schools and a specialized school in Worthington before graduating from Jefferson High School in 1989. Following her education, she attended the Courage Center in Golden Valley before returning to Alexandria where she worked at the AOC. She enjoyed volunteering at Knute Nelson and the Humane Society. Annette’s greatest joy began in 2006, when she became a greeter at Walmart in Alexandria, warmly receiving people with a smile and hello, “Welcome to Walmart!” She was an over-the-top sports fan for the Minnesota Vikings, Twins, and the Alexandria Beetles. Many of the Knute Nelson staff would welcome working on game day to listen to Annette’s excitement announcing the latest score or penalty, especially if she wasn’t in agreement. Her feisty spirit never waned.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Nick and Florence Revering and maternal grandparents, Ed and Lucille Winter.

Annette is survived by her  mother, Terry (Erling) Berger of Alexandria; father, Larry (Jan) Revering of Cologne; brother, Jim (Stephanie) Revering of Alexandria;nieces, Gretchen and Paige; stepbrother, Ron Steen; stepsisters, Kim Knippenberg and Rhonda (Joe) Pickar; along with many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Pallbearers are Brad Averill, Dennis Bitzan, Mike Roers, Kirk Venzke, Bob Revering, and Jim Revering. Honorary pallbearers are Joanne Haugen, Steve and John Tesar and families, Maria and all of her caregivers.

Memorials are preferred to the Lakes Area Humane Society or the Knute Nelson Hospice.
