Amber Lynn Martinson, age 28, of Alexandria, died Sunday, July 17, 2016, at St. Cloud Hospital following injuries sustained in a vehicle accident.

Private family services will be held.

Friends and family are welcome to a public visitation 12 – 4 p.m., Sunday, July 24, 2016, at Lind Family Funeral Home in Alexandria.

Amber was born on January 13, 1988, to Leslie and Sherrie (Anderson) Martinson in Brainerd.  Her family moved to Montevideo in 1992, and she lived there until moving to the Miltona/Alexandria area in 1996.  Amber attended the Miltona Elementary Magnet School and graduated from Alexandria High School in 2006.  Following her education, she worked at the Little Dipper in Parkers Prairie, Nokomis Market in Alexandria and managed the Scrub Store in Alexandria.  She most recently worked as the senior meal coordinator at the Corral Saloon and Eatery in Nelson. Amber’s greatest joy was the birth of her daughter, Jazlynn Rose Brockopp on November 24, 2008, and the two became inseparable.  Amber was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Miltona. Amber’s entire life was centered around loving and helping people.  Her final gift in life was the generous gift of her heart to a 59 year old female, lungs to a 45 year old female, liver to a 57 year old male, kidney to a 27 year old male, kidney to a 32 year old female, pancreas to a 43 year old male, gift of sight and gift of tissue.

Amber is survived by her daughter, Jazlynn; mother, Sherrie Martinson of Alexandria; father, Les Martinson of Garfield; sister, Amanda (Jordan) Totz of Alexandria; maternal grandparents, Darrell and Evie Anderson of Montevideo; paternal grandparents, Larry and Anita Martinson of Brainerd; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and a host of friends.
