Allan J. Lenz, age 71, of Alexandria, formerly of Miltona, died Thursday, April 02, 2015, at St. Williams Living Center in Parkers Prairie.

Memorial Services for Allan and his wife, Karen are 11 a.m., Saturday, April 4, 2015, at Faith Lutheran Church in Eagle Bend with Rev. Melissa Ehrhardt officiating.

Visitation is one hour prior to the service at the church.

Allan John Lenz was born October 8, 1943, to Irgon and Lorene (Boehland) Lenz in Bertha. He was baptized November 28, 1943, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Bertha and confirmed May 12, 1957, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Parkers Prairie. Allan attended Ackerman Country School in Woodside Township and graduated from Parkers Prairie High School in 1961. Following his education Allan joined the U.S. Navy where he served as a Corpsman. He was a medic and an X-ray Technician on a naval ship in Vietnam. Following his honorable discharge in 1966, Allan worked at an aircraft plant in San Diego. He returned to Parkers Prairie in 1968, to take over the family farm where he bred cows for ABS for over a decade. He worked for Carlson Trucking of Parkers Prairie, Mark Lee Construction of Alexandria and retired from Central Specialties of Alexandria in 2008. Allan was united in marriage to Karen Lennes Gray March 24, 1995. He was a member of the Miltona VFW Post #7826. He enjoyed deer hunting, playing cards, pitching horseshoe and bowling.

He was preceded in death by his father, Irgon; and wife, Karen on March 26, 2015.

Allan is survived by his two sons, Allan (Kelly) Lenz II of Spring Valley, Wisconsin and Kevin (Heather) Lenz of Belton, Texas; two daughters, Paula (Chad) Becker of Browerville and Sandra Lenz of Sartell; mother, Lorene Lenz of Parkers Prairie; sister, Linda (Ralph) Maughan of Parkers Prairie; two brothers, Robert (Debra) Lenz of Alexandria and Tom (Tinka) Lenz of Vancouver, Washington; 14 grandchildren, Darin, Shaun, Juan, Kelly, Jessica, Jake, Nathan, Nicholas, Noah, Nye, Janessa, Shawnee, Brandon and Emersyn; and 16 great-grandchildren.
