Alan L. Jergenson, age 76, of Alexandria, died on Friday, February 10, 2017, at his home.
Memorial services are 11:30 a.m., Saturday, February 18, 2017, at Lind Family Funeral Home in Alexandria with Pastor Kathy Hodges officiating. Burial will be held at a later date.
Visitation is one hour prior to the service.
Alan Lloyd Jergenson was born on September 7, 1940, to Lloyd and Sylvia (Koser) Jergenson in Fergus Falls. He attended and graduated from Stephen High School and the University of Minnesota. Alan was united in marriage to Charlene “CJ” Hartmann on July 26, 1980. Following his marriage he worked in retail management, was owner of a farm equipment dealership in MN, and worked in Real Estate as an Associate Broker in Arizona. He was a member of the Lions Club and was a past president. He was also a member of the Golf League in Prescott, Arizona and former Elks member. Alan enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, flying, and boating. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends at the lake.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Alan is survived by his wife of 36 years, CJ; daughter, Tracy (Sam) Schmitt of Portland, Oregon; two sons, Brent (Erin) Jergensen of Seattle, Washington and David (Melissa) Godwin of Rice, Minnesota; brother, Arden (Nancy) Jergenson; three sisters, LaRae (Roger) Zahorski, Maureen (Fred) Williams and Jolane (Don) Klein; five grandchildren, Taylor and Austin Jergenson, Emry and Cooper Godwin, and Mike Schmitt; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
