Adeline
Koep
April 15, 1932 — May 30, 2026
Friday
Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Urbank
Starts at 11:00 am (Central time)
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the peaceful passing of our mother, Adeline Koep, after 94 years of life well-lived. She passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2026, in Stillwater, Minnesota. At 94, Adeline was living her best life - eating with friends, exercising, listening to music, and of course, playing cards.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, August 21, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Urbank, with Fr. Jeremy Theis officiating. Interment will be at the church cemetery, followed by a reception and celebration of life at the fellowship hall.
Adeline Margaret Klimek was born on April 15, 1932. She was the beloved daughter of Paul Peter Klimek and Mary Stich Klimek. Her siblings were Elizabeth Klimek Reger, Nicholas Klimek, Wilhimina Klimek Koep, Isabel Klimek Burskin, Irene Klimek Albright, Bert Klimek, Verlee Klimek, and Elsie Klimek Sorrenti. The Klimek siblings shared a lifelong connection through a deep love of family, music, card games, and faith.
At age 21, Adeline married the love of her life, Frank Koep. They had 3 children: Steven Koep (Linda Koep), Susan Drumsta (Dave Drumsta), and Lorna Koep (Dean Kondo). Adeline recently shared that a favorite time of her life was living with her husband and children in Munich, Germany as a military family. Weekends were filled with exploring Europe and frequent picnics in the countryside. Frank Koep passed in 1963 at the age of 38.
Adeline raised her 3 children while working as a bookkeeper, her lifelong career. Her kindness, determination and tireless work ethic inspired all who knew her. Her enduring legacy is one of embracing all people, loving without conditions, and remaining steadfast through every season of her life. She held an unwavering devotion to the Klimek and Koep families, always striving to nurture those bonds.
She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. We are grateful that her spirit is now free to reconnect with her loved ones. We envision her dancing to all the polka music she wants and continuously winning at cribbage.
