Patrick "Butch" Koep

Patrick “Butch” F. Koep, age 63, of Brandon, died Tuesday, October 24, 2017, at St. Cloud Hospital.

A private family service was held. A celebration of life for Butch will be held from 2-5 p.m. on Friday, October 27, 2017 at the Old Mill Bar & Restaurant in Urbank.

Patrick “Butch” F Koep was born December 23, 1953, to John Sr. and Evelyn (Poltiske) Koep in Alexandria. He was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith.  Butch was raised on the family farm in rural Urbank. He attended Parochial School in Urbank through the sixth grade and graduated from Parkers Prairie High School in 1972. Following his education, he moved to Minneapolis and worked for two years. Butch moved back to work on the family farm which he continued to do until his death.  He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Butch enjoyed fireworks and spending time with his nieces and nephews. He loved his dogs and all types of animals.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, John Hockert; nephew, Darren Koep; and niece, Nicole Parkin.

Butch is survived by his four brothers, John Koep Jr. of Urbank, Daryl Koep of Golden Valley, Mike (Donna) Koep of Urbank, and Greg (Linda) Koep of Brandon; two sisters, Dianne Hockert of Eden Prairie and Shelley (Jeff) Parkin of Alexandria; 16 nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

Pallbearers are Brett Koep, Tanner Koep, Jeff Hockert, Cody Parkin, Scott Koep, and Kevin Koep.
