Natalie M. Klein, age 101, of Osakis, formerly of Urbank, died Wednesday, June 29, 2016, at Galeon in Osakis with family by her side.

Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m., Saturday, July 2, 2016, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Urbank with Fr. Herb Gappa officiating. Music is provided by the church choir. Burial is at the church cemetery.

Visitation is 5-8 p.m., Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with parish prayers at 7 p.m., and the rosary to follow by the Christian Mothers. The visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church.

Natalie Mathilda Klein was born on March 15, 1915, to Michael and Proxides (Stramel) Galinski in Yorkton, Saskatchewan, Canada. She was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith. Natalie attended school through ninth grade. Natalie was united in marriage to Philip Klein on August 15, 1940, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Following their marriage they moved to live and farm near Urbank. During her life Natalie raised her children and helped on the farm until her retirement in 2005. Following her retirement she worked at Knute Nelson and St. William’s Living Center as a Nurse’s Aide as well as caregiver for various homebound residents. Natalie moved to Galeon in 2011, where she lived until her death. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and its Christian Mothers Society. She enjoyed baking, cooking, canning, quilting, and playing cards.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Philip March 5, 1960; four brothers, and six sisters.

Natalie is survived by her two children, Richard (Denise) Klein of Carlos, Judy (Ron) Larson of New Prague; six grandchildren, Kelly (Matt) Garlinghouse, Kyle Klein, Trevor Klein, Jody (Jess) Janecek, Kim (Joe) Janecek, and Heather (Kevin) Seurer; 12 great-grandchildren, Sean Klein, Ethan, Tristan and Brendan Garlinghouse, Matt, Josh, and Luke Janecek, Tyler and Samantha Janecek, and Emma, Audrey and Caroline Seurer; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Pallbearers are Kevin Seurer, Jess Janecek, Joe Janecek, Kyle Klein, Trevor Klein, Matt Janecek, Josh Janecek, Tyler Janecek, and Luke Janecek.
