Mary Ann was born on July 5, 1957, to Leo and Helen (Pischke) Klimek in Parkers Prairie. She grew up in the Urbank area attending Parochial School through the sixth grade. Mary graduated from Parkers Prairie High School in 1976. She was united in marriage to Roger Klimek on August 21, 1976, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Urbank. Mary worked at the Blue Gill Café in Brandon while also caretaking the Brandon Creamery Apartments with Roger. She spent time raising her children before returning to work as a paraprofessional in the Brandon School District for 23 years, Ostlund Hardware, and most recently Wagner Trucking both in Brandon. Mary had a very strong Catholic faith and was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church where she was very involved in decorating for various seasons. She was also a member of the Millerville American Legion Auxiliary and active with Relay for Life in Alexandria. Mary will always be an amazing Wife, Mother, and Nana.  She was a gracious caregiver, who always put others before herself, and brought true joy and love to all.  She cherished her time with family, especially her grandkids.  She enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, golfing, cooking, gardening, and crafting.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Patrick; and father-in-law, Gebhart.

Mary is survived by her husband of 44 years, Roger; son, Bradley (Leah) Klimek of Albertville; daughter, Jody (Brent) LaVoi of Sauk Centre; brother, Charlie (Jodi) Klimek of Parkers Prairie; sister, Kathy (Mike) Ranweiler of Brandon; mother-in-law, Adelaide Klimek of Alexandria; five grandchildren, Brianna, Mallory, Jackson, Ayda, and Wyatt; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Pallbearers are Chris Ranweiler, Mark Ranweiler, Eric Klimek, Shawn Lehn, Josh Wilcox, and Joe Bushman. Honorary pallbearers are her grandchildren.

God looked around his garden

and found an empty space

Then He looked down upon this earth

and saw your tired face

He put his arms around you

and lifted you to rest

God's garden must be beautiful

He only takes the best.
