Glen W. Kuhnau, age 79, of Miltona, died Tuesday, September 8, 2015, at Ecumen Bethany Home in Alexandria.

Funeral Services are 11 a.m., Friday, September 11, 2015, at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Miltona with Rev. Terry Finnern officiating. Music is provided by organist, Deb Joachim and vocalist, Shelly Luedeke. Burial is at the church cemetery.

Visitation is 5-8 p.m., Thursday, at Lind Family Funeral Home in Miltona and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church.

Glen Wilber Kuhnau was born January 26, 1936, to Wilhelm and Cleo (Atz) Kuhnau in Worthington. He was baptized in Worthington and confirmed in 1950, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Wadena. Glen attended country school and graduated from Wadena High School in 1954. Glen worked for National Food in Wadena and Alexandria. Glen moved to Lakefield and worked for Jackson County Co-op and ran a dairy farm for 10 years. He was united in marriage to Karen Anderson June 15, 1958, in Graettinger, Iowa. They moved to Miltona in 1966, where he continued to dairy farm until 1986. Glen also worked at the Carlos Locker, Palmer Industries in Alexandria and helped a neighbor with his farm until 2011. Glen was a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church and served on its church board. He also served as a supervisor on the Spruce Hill Township Board for 18 years. He was active with the Spruce Hill Foundation and volunteered during Rose City Threshing Show where he helped on the saw mill. Glen enjoyed auction sales, cutting wood and working on small engines. He especially loved spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Roger Kuhnau; two sisters-in-law, Patty Kuhnau and Allyn Kuhnau; brother-in-law, Bob Rydberg; and two nieces, Tammy Kuhnau and Sheri (Causley) Major.

Glen is survived by his wife of 57 years, Karen; son, Brent Kuhnau of Miltona; daughter, Deb (Al) Worlie of Cambridge; two grandsons, Jonathan (Kim) Worlie of St. Paul and Jacob Worlie of Miltona; great-granddaughter, Ashley Worlie; nine brothers, Bill (Elaine) Kuhnau, Bob (Mary) Kuhnau, Gib (Karen) Kuhnau, Don (Donna) Kuhnau, Earl Kuhnau, Vic Kuhnau, Doug (Birdie) Kuhnau, Darrel Kuhnau and Paul Kuhnau; six sisters, Delores Rydberg, Myrt Schmidt, Judy Kuhnau, Kathy (Angus) Causley, Carol Kuhnau and Barb Chan; and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Brad Lusty, Bob Lusty, David Luedeke, Luke Luedeke, Derek Ratajasek and Steve Velde. Honorary pallbearers are his grandsons.
