Arlene H. Ferley age 93, of Parkers Prairie, died Friday, January 1, 2016, at St. William's Living Center.

Memorial services are 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 9, 2016, at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Parkers Prairie with Rev. Jeanette Bidne officiating. Music is provided by organist, Nicole Cuchna and vocalist, Theresa Boettcher. Burial is at Balsamlund Cemetery, Aldrich, Minnesota.

Visitation is 6-8 p.m., Friday at Lind Family Funeral Home in Parkers Prairie and continue one hour prior to the service at the church.

Arlene Harriet Ferley was born December 5, 1922, to Martis and Catherine (Swedesky) Horn in Verndale, Minnesota. She attended Country School District #112 through the eighth grade. Following her education, she worked at Blake's on the Lake in Alexandria. Arlene was united in marriage to Raymond Ferley on July 8, 1945. Following their marriage they owned and operated the Corner Bar in Hewitt for ten years. In 1972, they moved to West Fargo where she operated a day care in her home for the next 35 years. Her husband, Raymond died in 1988. Arlene continued living in West Fargo until moving to live with her son and daughter-in-law in Parkers Prairie in 2007. She moved to St. William's Living Center in 2012, where she lived until her death. Arlene was a member of Balsalmlund Lutheran Church and the Ladies VFW Auxiliary in West Fargo. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting afghans, baking, dancing, word search puzzles and watching sports, especially, the Minnesota Twins and Green Bay Packers.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; infant son, Randy; five brothers, Clarence, Clifford, Carl, LeRoy and infant brother, Kermit; and four sisters, Mildred, Berniece, Vera and Laura.

Arlene is survived by her son, Blayne (Linda) Ferley of Parkers Prairie; two daughters, LeAnn (James) Feldman of Reno, Nevada and Debra Duncan of Fairfax, Virginia; brother, Richard Horn of New England, North Dakota; sister, Marilyn Lynch of Alexandria; eight grandchildren, Tammy (Darren) Gorder of Park Rapids, Theresa (Ryan) Boettcher of Menomonie, Wisconsin, Jodi (Clinton) Gray of Alexandria, Mark Ferley and Jennifer (Josh) Hinrichs both of Parkers Prairie, Lori Feldman of Tacoma, Washington, Jeremy (Deana Brangenberg) Duncan of Bristow, Virginia and Alexander (Lindsey) Duncan of Clinton, Mississippi; and 23 great grandchildren.

Urnbearers are her grandsons, Jeremy and Alex Duncan and Mark Ferley. Honorary urnbearers are her granddaughters and great-grandchildren.
