Following her divorce, AnnaMae bought a lot, and built a house in which she lived independently for 30 years. She earned her GED in her 50’s and also took some college classes.  She was an excellent quilter and taught quilting in community education classes.  She was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church in East Bethel.  In 2009, she moved to Alexandria from Ham Lake.
