A. Patrice (Smith) Hanson, age 64, of Alexandria, died suddenly, Monday, January 18, 2016, at the St. Cloud Hospital with her family by her side.

Memorial Services are 2 p.m., Saturday, January 23, 2016, at Lind Family Funeral Home in Alexandria with Rev. David Gran officiating.

Visitation is 5-7 p.m., Friday at Lind Family Funeral Home in Alexandria and will continue one hour prior to the service.

Anna Patrice (Smith) Hanson was born on October 5, 1951 to David and Mavis (Zastrow) Smith in Bremerton, Washington. Her family moved to Alexandria in 1960. Patrice graduated from Jefferson High School in 1971. She was united in marriage to Gary Klobes in Alexandria and to this union a son, Gregory was born in 1977. Patrice was very artistic and always enjoyed her arts and crafts, especially painting. She loved life, people, and animals. She always had a pet, dog or cat. Patrice loved meeting new people and she made friends easily and readily. She always accepted others without seeing their faults. Patrice was a member of the YMCA and monthly lunch group. She enjoyed attending the Bible Study at Viking Towers. Patrice was a donor, and as a result of her generosity, a life has been saved by the gift of her lungs.

She was preceded in death by her parents; great niece, Wendy Trainor; and brother-in-law, Ken Carlson.

Patrice is survived by her son, Gregory Klobes of Alexandria; two brothers, Bruce (Nurys) Smith of Brandon and Brian Smith; sister, Dawn Carlson of Garfield; niece, Melody Smith of Oregon; two nephews, Terry Trainor of Alexandria and Joshua Smith of Garfield; and her beloved cat, Carmy.
